CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE

NATURE OF THE INSURANCE

There are optional insurances, such as private or family civil liability, and compulsory insurances, such as hunters insurance, or professional indemnity insurance for some activities, such as lawyers and insurance brokers.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THESE INSURANCES?

Ensure compensation for damage caused to third parties by the insured or by members of his household, domestic servants or animals, in the case of private civil liability insurance.

Hunters insurance is intended to compensate for damages caused to third parties by the firearms or the hunter’s hounds during the hunting season.

In the case of professional indemnity insurance, they are intended to compensate third parties for damages that may be caused by professionals in the exercise of their professional activity.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS TYPE OF INSURANCE?

Insurance coverage is defined either by law or by the respective regulations, but it usually covers compensation for material damage and non-material damage.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE?

Usually, this insurance does not cover compensation due for guarantees, fines and fees, damages as a result of acts of terrorism, war, industrial disruptions, traffic accidents and work accidents.
